Babies and Parents

Babies and Parents

Whether you are planning, starting or raising a family, there are a vast array of different emotions experienced by parents and caregivers.

Although everyone’s parenting experience is unique, there are some emotions and experiences that may be common amongst parents and caregivers during the antenatal and post-natal period which can often leave both new parents and parents to be feeling uncertain, overwhelmed and distressed. These feelings can increase strain and stress within existing family relationships, and impact the mental health of the individual.

To promote emotional, physical and mental wellbeing during the perinatal period (ie before and after a baby is born, and up to child age of 4yrs), it can be helpful to seek support from a qualified therapist with experience in supporting people through the unique challenges during this time.

We have therapists who are highly experienced working with parents, families and children within the perinatal period. As additional support we also offer Psychiatric Assessment and onward referral where necessary.
